Notes on the comic below, but first a few important things about the site:

TWEAKED DESIGN:
As you may have noticed I tweaked a few things, mostly background colors and making backgrounds on some images transparent. I’ve never been thrilled with the color choices I made for the site but haven’t had time to do anything about it. Hopefully this gives it a warmer feel. Let me know what you think!

PATREON SUPPORT:
Second, you may have noticed to the left a new button: a link to Patreon! Yes, after a year of doing the comic I decided it was time to shill out bonus content for pocket change.

In all seriousness, though, I decided to do this because I put a LOT of time into the comic to make it five days a week. I do this at the expense of doing things that would help me pay bills, such as adding more items to my online booths that I would normally be focusing more time on. In fact, not only does the comic taking time away from making money through that avenue, it actually costs me a decent amount each year in web hosting and domains.

This isn’t meant to be a “wah, wah, woe is me! Throw money at me!” whine. I chose to do those things because I love doing the comic and entertaining people. But with my bills (including the pesky medical bills I’m still paying from February) the time may come that I have to make a choice between which helps me more: doing the comic five days a week or focusing on selling online. I’ll always do the comic, but I really want to avoid cutting it down to three days a week if possible. If this past two weeks off has shown me anything it’s how much I do enjoy making this.

So all I’m asking is that if you have the spare cash and you feel the comic has earned it, please support me through Patreon. Any amount will be fine, and support pretty much obligates me to provide you with five days of comicy goodness. It also guarantees I don’t use words like “comicy” ever again. And by supporting you get bonus content, too! Different levels of monthly support will get you sketches, anime reviews, and seeing comics as soon as they are done (so if you donate $5.00 right now, you will see my entire buffer which is at least 5-10 not-yet-posted comics as of this writing!). And there’s milestone goals, too, if you all collectively reach certain total contributions. Please check out the link to see all the details!

Anyway, thanks for reading my sales pitch. Back to your regularly scheduled Monday post:

THE COMIC:
In case you don’t know who Shawne is, you really should check out rightstuf.com. I have stocked up on many a DVD for myself and as anime club prizes on the cheap during Black Friday. I can also say from experience their are incredibly good to anime clubs. They truly support the community like an anime company should (and no, I didn’t get paid to say any of that stuff. I’m not important enough for that!).

Anyway, it’s Monday! And I, sadly, return to work today. It was a good two weeks off and I got a lot done, including artwork, writing, and catching up on a lot of anime I haven’t had time for. I have a buffer again, which makes me happy and less stressed. It will be sad to see it go in a few weeks.

Anyway, here’s your Monday anime video:
